Organic Farmers/Mentors – A Virtual SUPERVISED AGRICULTURE EXPERIENCE (SAE)

Presenters will cover applied organic science topics and methods included in an actual Organic System Plan, which explains in detailed and full transparency the comprehensive operations, management, and maintenance in accordance with National Organic Program.
A weekly videocast series of talks from their organic farms in Hawai‘i with the kokua of agronomist and organic farmers Robert Shaffer and Christine Lindsey Lee.
Organic farmers will present 12 foundational talks based on the established curriculum and include an organic farming predicament with solutions found in NOP
The series will be virtual and recorded for future teaching and learning.
Following their presentations, the presenters will discuss with students and science and agriculture teachers about the case study predicaments, which will be part of the final presentations.
